Sun full disc 6-1-21

I took these shots two way. The full disc was taken so I could process the prominence and the surface detail without combining two images. You have shown larger prominences, but this one seems to me to show a lot more of them.

I love seeing the great orb like this - its neat to see the details on the surface as well as the prominences just beyond the surface.

That’s a lot of prominences in one area! I like seeing both ways Chuck. Seeing the whole sun is impressive but so is the closeup detail. Great work!

Mike, Sorry I didn't respond earlier, thank you, I usually try to get them both ways but it is harder to balance the disc detail and proms., I try to get it in one shot instead of combining two images, sometimes it works and sometimes I rely just on the prominence shot.
