Beautiful alpine meadow view. Do you know the name of the low shrub is that covers most of the foreground in this scene? Looks nice although likely difficult to walk through.

Summer time was the time to be there, I had been reading horror stories about that pass during fall colors.

Thanks for the comments Alan, appreciated. Sorry I do not know the name of the low shrub that covers the foreground, and it is very difficult to walk through. There are area where the ground cover is less dense and easy the walk through.

The road over Guanella is paved on both side and kept open nearly year round these days. Several year ago I was stranded in a snow drift up there for a couple of hours in a 2-wheel drive auto. Not one of my smartest moves!
