Summer Blooms

Yesterday was a good day for capturing lily blooms along the sidewalks near my house. Lots of colorful varieties so I grabbed a good sampling of what I passed by while out walking.

Thanks Jim - it was nice to catch the blooms in #1 and #2 not long after the sprinklers had shut off. #4 is a nice variety that my next door neighbor has growing. They have a huge cluster of lilies that haven't yet opened so I am not quite sure what they will look like. Stay tuned....

Thanks Monika - I'm afraid most of the neighborhood flowers got fried last weekend when we went up to 115F. Our foliage is not adapted to that kind of heat at all.
