Summer Aspen

Between the mid-summer flowers and the the fall colors of the aspen trees is what I call summer aspen. The ground cover is rich in colors and the aspen leaves are green and the aspen bark almost glows under an overcast sky. I guess I like aspen trees in all the seasons and can hardly wait for gold of the fall season!

We don't have aspen in the Pacific NW but I have always loved them in all seasons when I lived where they do grow. Nice reminder of why with these images. They are simply spectacular in the fall.

Very nice work Larry! I think the next time I see the Aspen they will be in their fall glory! But they do look cool too in the summer like this.
