Streamside in a Coastal Mountain Forest

I stopped by Sweet Creek this past fall with high hopes for fall colors given what all I was seeing along the roads on the way there. Turned out that most of the leaves had already dropped along the creek which was a bit disappointing. That didn't stop me from grabbing a few shots anyway. This is a simple shot with some rapids along the trail.

C&C always welcome.

That's still a really sweet shot from a sweet creek. :)

Love the ferns in the foreground. I wonder what this would look like in IR? Though I do like it as it is. Whenever I finally get back up to the PNW I need to spend some time along Sweet Creek.

Thanks Jim - Its a fun little hike with the creek flowing over the 2 mile stretch of exposed basalt. Most of the coast range is uplifted marine deposits that aren't as conducive to waterfalls.

I did try IR once down there with a 720nm filter over my 590nm converted camera body but it turned all of the vegetation into a monotone white and I didn't find the captures all that interesting. I have posted a couple of those with this being one example.
