Storm Clouds over New Mexico

We were driving just north of Taos, NM when we saw these large storm clouds forming and stopped to grab a few shots. This shot is a 2 frame panorama that worked out well. The clouds in New Mexico seem to have a special look and presence.

I agree, maybe it's the altitude, the clouds at the end of monsoon season can be spectacular.

We drove to Taos last Monday and had rain most of the way and a little snow. No clear skies, but on Tuesday and Wednesday we had beautiful clear blue skies in the mornings and cloud picking up in the afternoon, perfect.

Thanks for the comments Jim. That view of the clouds is what caused me to stop and take a few shots!
