Stepping Stones

These looked like stepping stones to me that would lead one on a path I would not want to follow fully. This is from the Sunset Cliffs area in San Diego.

Is this a super low tide? It's always fascinating to see what your favorite beaches look like with a -1.7' or lower tide. That doesn't look like the kind of seaweed that would like being exposed with a normal low tide.

This wasn't a negative tide, maybe a 1 foot tide if I remember correctly, so it definitely can get lower.
