Stately Old Maple

A notable old moss covered big leaf maple in the Oregon Coast range near the North Fork of the Siuslaw River. From a rainy visit back in late October.

Thanks Michael - there are a number of these old moss covered maples along the North Fork road I like to stop and shoot if conditions are right and this is one of them.

Thanks Jameel - I think of scenes like this as Life in the Land of the Wet. Not quite a match for the moss accumulations on some of the trees up in the Hoh but not far behind and a lot closer to my house.
