Thanks, Alan. Slightly sidelighted, actually, but gives the appearance of backlight. The backlighting really makes the fresh growth and buds stand out - nice one.
Thanks, Dan. I really like this area in the spring - it's a challenge to photograph.I really like this. It has a painterly look to it, saying "Spring is here!"
Thanks, Jameel. I did some dodging and burning to give it depth. It has a very dark, forbidding look when all the leaves turn darker green.Very nice Kurt. The contrast between the dark branches and the fresh foliage with its lighting makes this shine.
Thanks, Michael. The timing is pretty important - a day or two either way can make a big difference.Sweet - looks like an impressionist oil painting.
Kurt, this picture has all the impressionism in it.A grouping of Black Cottonwoods taking on new spring growth. Carson Range, NV. 4-22-24View attachment 71592

Thanks again, Jim.Love it Kurt, spring is in the air for sure!
Thank you. And, really, that is one of the hardest parts of doing something like this. To me, the key is balance but nature doesn't like to do that!Making sense out of confusion. Nice job, Kurt!
