Thanks Alan for your insightful comments. I agree that each splash on the rocks is different and only a few warrant being shown!Pretty good example of "wave meets rock - rock wins". One of the neat things about watching waves crash into the shore is that no two splashes are ever alike.
I'd hate to see a tally on how many wave-meets-rock images I have taken relative to the number I am willing to show![]()
Thanks Douglas, the waves on the California coast tend to be mild most of the time and on occasion can be fierce. Those rouge waves can be kind of scary sometimes. Nice job, Larry.
Thanks for your comments on this image Jim, appreciated.Hey Larry! I love the beaches of California!
I really like how you captured this, and captured the power of the wave splash. In ACR, if you use the Dehaze slider, I think you will see it help separate the wave splash from the background and help it stand out more.
Nice capture, larry.View attachment 67011
I was sitting on a beach in California watching wave breaking on rocks. I kept waiting for big wave to hit and make a splash. After a half a dozen duds, this wave did the job and I was rewarded for my patience!![]()
Thanks for your comment Oliver, appreciated!Nice capture, larry.
