At the ridge between Upper Deep Creek and Ridge Lakes is this view of Little El Capitan.

This was a morning shot (alpenglow was faint & brief and I was still 10 minutes from the ridge) - stitched vertical pano.

This was that evening as the clouds rolled in. It was completely cloudy for the next 2 days (at least). It was very windy - both hands on the tripod to try to keep it steady, thus no stitched pano like the above shot.

Neat pair of shots. I like the B&W pano but the second one with color and nicely decorated skies yanks me into the scene a little better. The background peak seems bigger and closer in the smaller view in the second image than in the pano at the top.

I really love that B&W. What a great image it is, and B&W is perfect for it. I was thinking that photo couldn't be topped, but I think #2 might just top it.

That's too bad about the clouds rolling in. But you got some great winners here, I hope you have a few more from this trip!

It's kind of interesting how different they seem - I was in pretty much the same place (within 5-10' anyway), same prime lens.........just portrait vs landscape mode.

Thanks, Jim. I have a few more, but these were the big scenics. One thing that was different about this trip than all my others to the Winds is that my campsites didn't have views. This was the closest, with it being a 30-45 minute walk from camp.

Very cool area. I've been there once, to Seneca and Island Lake. This shot makes me want to go back and explore more.

This was much farther south -- Sweetwater TH, though some people access from Worthen Meadows. Those with stock came in from the north somewhere. The Winds are awesome!

Beautiful images, Monika. That is a great glacial geology image, I really like that little tarn
Thank, Doug. The Ice Lakes area that I walked through to get there was magnificent glacial terrain, but it was on such a scale, I think only a drone doing stitched panos would capture it.
