Images from Collioure Sep 2013. Collioure is one of my favourite seaside locations in France. Lots of the places on the coast are chic but incredibly expensive eg St Tropez, Monte Carlo, Antibes etc or the coast is covered in summer trailer homes with no real towns or villages. I know a few places that are real towns but are not blighted by large scale tourism and Colliure is my favourite. It has bars and restaurants but no holiday parks or giant waterslides. Once a fishing village and haunt of artists, Matisse being the most famous it retains a gentle 1900's feel. Ken

These scenes have a nice mood to them without the over the top harbors full of mega yachts and resorts. I like the old stonework and the view in the last shot in particular.

It's nice to have a town that isn't a tourist trap. I like these Ken, with #3 and 4 being my favorite.
