Somewhere in Western Washington

Hey Zeph, what a cool and different looking peak.

And yep, forgetting a location happens a time or two more then I would want to admit.

Nice looking scene - the trees say you are on the west side of the Cascades and the terrain says you are north of Rainier but that is as close as my feeble brain can guess off the top of my head.

Happens to me more often than I'd like. My camera has GPS but it never shuts off and will kill batteries when the camera is sitting on a shelf so I end up disabling it with the intent of turning it back on when I use the camera. I usually remember that I need to turn it on about the time I am almost done with my shooting and I stop to reflect on the fact that I will be able to check the locations on the.......oops - GPS I haven't turned on yet

I have been scrounging through my Hwy 20 images and so far can't find anything that matches the ridgeline in the back with a basalt monolith in front like this. Agree it's somewhere in that North Cascades mountain cluster.

nice image! Looks familiar but I would have to go back in my memory to my grad school days at the UW. Good luck with that! :D
