Sligachan bridge, in the rain

Neat old bridge and a nice point of view for this scene. I love the scattered showers as a backdrop and in front of the mountains.

How old is this bridge?

It's funny how we often come up with romantic names to describe just a normal occurrence, like rain. :)

I really like this Ken. Great storm clouds, and that's sure a cool bridge. It looks like it would date back to the Romans?

Designed by Thomas Telford who designed/ built many of Britain's bridges and canals. This one built between 1810 and 1819. Ken

Early 19thC Jim but built using the same Science that has been known for centuries. Thomas Telford is an interesting person, Wikipedia has an interesting article on him. Ken

I like the atmosphere produced by heavy rain. I like heavy showers where you can get the image just before the rain hits. Here tge rain was on for a long time. Ken
It rained for the 1st 4 days when I was backpacking in Wyoming last summer, but after it cleared up, it was just boring blue skies with nary a cloud to be seen. I stopped taking pictures, even though I still carried my camera gear with me.
