Skiing the lower Nisqually Glacier, Mt. Rainier

I'm the photographer among most of my ski partners. I often wait for them at the top to shoot (or ask them to wait while I ski down and then get set up), which can give a nice little person in a big landscape perspective. This was taken a couple years ago on a wonderful 7,000 ft. descent from Camp Muir, down The Nisqually Chute, then all the way down the glacier and out to the bridge. Eagle Peak rises in the background.

Pretty serious emphasis on little people in a big landscape in this scene. Without them in the scene scale would be almost impossible to even guess at.

Nice one.

Really cool Jim. I am glad you were the photographer among your ski group as your photos have always been a joy to view.

Thanks guys. It's nice to relive those days, esp. when I'm not supposed to ski due to my healing leg - next week though if the weather cooperates!
