Sights and Sounds of Christmas Displays

I have a project for myself to do a series of Christmas video's. I will be doing a static one where I am videoing the fireplace with the Christmas tree and such. Kind of one of those that you can play and just let go for hours for background noise, or maybe just to play in the evening when you are in the Christmas spirit. But then I decided I also wanted to video local Christmas displays others have put up on their houses and set those to Christmas music.

This is the first footage, so it's bound to have a few rough spots. I mainly put it together as a test. First to see how it looked, and also to test and see if I was right about the old classic Christmas music, some of which is almost 80 years old I believe. I wanted to see if YouTube would flag them as Copyrighted material. And sadly they did. :( I was hoping these old songs were now in the public domain. But I guess not. Lesson learned. :)

My next ones will use instrumental Christmas music that hopefully will not be copyrighted then, and will be Royalty Free. But that's later in the week.

If there is anything you like or don't like on this, be sure to let me know. This is meant as a test anyway, so if there is some glaring weakness, I would rather identify it now, and correct it for the future video's I hope to take this coming week.

Thanks!

Jim

PS.... Please Watch on YouTube, click that so I get the views on Youtube please. And of course, Subscribe if you haven't yet.

PSS..... This is 25 mins long, that's intentionally. My goal is to have some 1 hour, 4 hour and 8 hour video's of Christmas up.

This is a very ambitious project. Too bad about the copyrights, I know that problem well. I think this one came out pretty darn good for a test.

Thanks so much Ben! I really appreciate you taking the time to view this.

I agree the project is pretty ambitious, but I think projects like this make for fun, and keep our creative juices going.
