Those are the Monitor and Merrimack buttes that are unmistakable when you approach Moab or drive up into the Island in the Sky. Named after the first iron clad civil war ships.
A few years ago someone had asked if there had ever been any images of them because no one ever posts them. So I climbed up to the top of the hill at the turnoff to Dead Horse Point and just waited for last light sunset. That spot, by the way, is the highest point on the Island in the Sky. That was a 400mm lens at around 340mm.
