Shiprock Sunrise

A little Shiprock love here. It's simply amazing for how cool this rock is at just how easy it is to get there. Most often you are shooting either next to your vehicle or within 100 yards of it. I took this one morning at sunrise when I wasn't liking the conditions out at Bisti, so I woke up early and drove the 45 minutes to get here. I was looking for something with some detail in the foreground as I was setting up, I think I found it.

The stark surroundings of Shiprock make the pinnacle really jump in this light. Surprising that these conditions were so different from Bisti but this would definitely be worth the jaunt. Nice.
