2 nights ago when my grandson was at gymnastics I took the time to run around a local lake. I put one of my cameras in my trail pack to have it along just in case the sun managed to burst through the clouds, plus bringing the camera is an easy way to add weight to the trail pack.
I was running on the south side of the lake when the first colors started to burst out above the Rocky Mountains to the West. So I picked up my speed and started sprinting to the East side of the lake so I could capture it with the lake.
The sunset had several beams of light shooting out towards the south for a bit, but the majority of the sunset was with just this one solitary shadow beaming out against all of the light.
