Thanks Jim, this is one you have seen before, or at least this particular morning. Jeffrey suggested a tighter crop and I happened to have this one shot with a longer FL. Gave up some cloud color and in return got a larger size mountain and reflection.

For me "looks like a painting" is when you get the kind of light that typically only painters manage to capture. They have the advantage of being able to make their own light so they aren't subject to the whims of nature for getting almost perfect light like we are.

Super cool when you manage to get this in your capture.

Very nice, Ben. I also admire your "painterly" look which is, indeed, a style which shows up in pics I have seen of yours. I agree with Alan's definition and would add there is a quality to the colour and texture too. I really like the sweep of the composition here with the reflections in the main lead-in of the water. Lovely image!
