San Simeon Point, CA

Years ago as I was phasing in and out of 4x5 film and digital cameras, the time came to imitate the style of the masters. And combine it with my own. This is the scene at the end of the trail through the eucalyptus trees and out to the tip of the peninsula near San Simeon State Beach, central California coast. Ebony SV45U LF camera, Rodenstock 90MM lens, probably Acros neg film. I'm excited to revisit this one here.

A reminder of the clarity of the 4x5. Very nice exposure. I hope it got printed at an appropriate size.

Are you ever tempted to do the medium format digital when you look back at 4x5 photography?

I feel like I AM shooting MF with my 5DSR. I've shot a lot of MF film, as well. While I really enjoyed the craft and process of the large films, I'm getting what I want most of the time with digital.
