Great Smoky Mountains National Park, TN Nikon D300, October 2008. In Lightroom I enhanced the image with Super Resolution option (2848 x 4288 to 5696 x 8576). Also edited for color and reduced shadows and highlights.

This is great John! ACR has that Super Resolution option too, so I should be trying it on some of my old digital Images I am using for Salvage Saturday.

From the Ghost Town of Bodie in the Eastern Sierra. Captured with the Nikon D200, a 10mp Crop Sensor.

Back then, if you knew the right person you could get in there early before sunrise. Otherwise it didn't open to the public until several hours after sunrise. So it was nice to have had a connection that I could get in early.

Good looking images considering it's 10 MP. One good reason for reprocessing old images is that the conditions at the location have changed and cannot be repeated. This is true for me at Schwabacher and Snake River Overlook.

Was out all weekend and returned last night, so late to the party.

This is again from 10D circa 2004. It was shot hand held. Some Topaz sharpen AI treatment and is passable.

Passable indeed. I have not shown many of my 10D images. Maybe I should look them up.

Thanks Ben. What's amazing is that to me it seems as sharp as anything I would photograph today. I think the key then, like the key now is really proper exposure. When we exposure properly, the image has way less noise, or no noise, and thus will appear sharper.

My problem back then was out of focus. The newer cameras have really been helpful in that regard.
