Salmon Creek IR

I followed @Michael13's link for IR profiles by Rob Shea and after looking around grabbed his free profiles for my old 590nm converted Canon 5D MkII. Being a dedicated Lightroom user since its release I also opted for his color swap profiles as well since this allows me to do all of the channel swap and color profile work while still in Lightroom working with the file in RAW format. Lots more accurate and straightforward for how I like to edit images. I found this so much easier than previous methods I have used to edit IR images I might be yanking my converted camera body out more frequently.

I grabbed some old shots I had laying around from previous photo sessions and after playing around a bit testing things came up with this 590nm rendering of Salmon Creek not far from my house.

C&C always welcome.

Hey Alan. This looks really nice. It's great to see you posting some IR images again.
Thanks Jim - I didn't like how I had to process images like this before trying out the presets on the Rob Shea site so I had basically blown off shooting IR. This approach made processing shots like this a lot more fun.

It'll be nice to have some company in the Infrared Presentation Forum. Rob Shea's website is the best IR resource on the WWW!
Thanks Michael - and thanks for the tip on Rob's website. My converted camera body has been shelf ware for several years now but will be getting dusted off and used once again.
