Salmon Creek in the Rainy Season

A great example of what is called a flood plain and why you shouldn't be building houses there. This is from last December with a break after a series of storms passed through the area. Not the best light for this shooting angle but when it rains for weeks at a time I'll take any window in the storms I can get. Single frame at 24mm.

C&C always welcome.

The reflection of the sky and clouds in the water takes this up a notch. The soft light of cloudy skies helps as well.
Thanks Jameel - this was the first break we had in the storms that hit us in late November and early December so lots of moisture and fog in the air to go along with the overflow of the creek in this area.

This is really nice, and sure shows you shouldn't build anything there unless it can float.
Thanks Jim - this is about a mile from my house but the water you see here is about 2-3' above sea level at most and I live at 200'. The whole area that is flooded is part of a County park so no one can build there to begin with.
