Ahh - a beach I know very well and including more than a few cloudy days (even when I wanted to see some sun). Interesting motion captures in both images but the longer shutter in the second one casts a magical mood to that smaller scene.

Loving those streaks of water in #1, and I really like that composition in #2, you worked those foreground rocks perfectly.

And you are right, Ruby Beach and the surrounding beaches are a photographers dream.
