From a week ago out in Joshua Tree National Park. It was a surprise sunset as the forecast had been for clear skies. But it was enjoyable to see, and I liked how the clouds played so well with the tops of the hills.

I have a tendency to pull as much detail out of the ground as possible, but I used restraint here and left this basically straight out of the camera. I think the dark ground provides a nice contrast to the colors in the clouds.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Nice result and good call on processing restraint - with sky colors/light at this level the foreground would look off with too much shadow recovery.

Thanks!

I agree, but typically that doesn't stop me from trying. ;)
