I discovered Christmas Meadows in 2013 and since its only 3 hours away, I have been there once or twice per year. June is earliest and Late Sept about the end. Most of my visites have been early June to get high water and snow on the peaks. A couple in mid summer and this year I went in fall.

I revisited all of my keepers and brought them up to current processing standards. Like to have you vote for the best 4. Please keep in mind composition as well as dramatic sky's, I am looking to learn how to shoot this in the following years.

Interesting comparisons with these shots. I really like the colors and drama in #8 and #9 but did not select them because for my eyes the darks in the clouds are too dark to be realistic looking. #1 has interesting and more realistic looking clouds but the color balance seems a bit on the green/cyan side - most notable in the color of the snow on the distant peaks.

Thanks Jameel. I wondered about the magenta in 4, it got there as I was adding some red to the clouds.

Right Jameel, I have usually printed at 16x9 but now I am looking for some 24x36 prints. But I may go 24x42 for a few.

7,8 & 9 definitely. Number 4 would have been my fourth but the river was cut off on the right a bit. In lieu of that image, I'll go with #1 for my fourth pick.

So for being late to the party Ben. I have been busy and wanted to be able to have time to really look at these.

I went for #1, 4, 6, 8. My favorite being 8 I think.

That is one really cool location and I do look forward to more photos from there in the future.
