Replacement Sunrise

Good morning!

Was a clear night and wont get much of a sunrise show today, so spent a little time searching the archives and thought I'd post this one up. Not one of my more sophisticated compositions, but one of those sunrises a person wishes he'd been set up for somewhere else besides my back porch. Have a great day!

You never realize how much you like clouds util there aren't any. This was a nice sunrise from the looks of it. I like the low layer of mist/smoke that helps add depth to the silhouettes of the hills.

I try to watch every sunrise and sunset from my back porch front year or even bed each day. We get some nice ones and it give one the chance to learn how they develop and what seasons are best etc. Good practice.

This is really sweet Aaron! Love the light in the color of the clouds.

I think we all have been somewhere else when a great sunset/sunrise took off, at least you don't have 5 million houses and telephone poles and wires in your shot like I would here in SoCal. I think in your case those buttes do a good job of anchoring the image as those clouds really stole the show for you on this day.
