Very nice, Monika! I am fascinated by the captured light and the reddish color of the stone.Another errant rock in Red Breaks slot canyon.
Wonder what this one reminds Alan of......

But nobody else around......and free! This reminds me of Lower Antelope Canyon
I like the lighting and the nice simple scene.
Nice, Ben!Like a pearl in an oyster
Thanks, Peter!Very nice, Monika!
This is the West Fork of Red Breaks slot canyon. I went in from the Sheffield Rd. Most people go in from Harris Wash & have to negotiate a big dryfall. There is no real trail from where I went in, but many tracks (people & animals). Takes a little bit of route finding to find the best route down to the canyon bottom. I'll probably go back in late fall or winter to try to find the other fork. I got partway down to the canyon floor, but was tired enough from the previous day & the sun was out strongly and just didn't have the energy to go down to the next level that I could see & possibly get clipped and have to come back out and find another way down. It already took 3 tries to cross the West Fork (where this shot is from). It reminds me, that I need to go hike that Slot!!!
But it also reminds me of a beetle or the head of a small dinosaur.
A really great find Monika. Do you recall the name of the trailhead for this?
Thanks for the info. My sister is in town this weekend, but next week I hope to pull out the map and scope that out a little closer. This is the West Fork of Red Breaks slot canyon. You mean the dry fall? No ropes in place & I would never trust such things anyway. I think you have to backtrack & find a way up & over. If you have Gaia GPS, I think I can send you my tracks (for what it's worth as I definitely was wandering & on less than the most efficient way, though I got better). Camping on the Sheffield Rd is really nice. Much better views than the Hole In The Rock Rd.Thanks for the info. Is there supposedly ropes already in place for the big dry wash if you went the other way?
