These formations are quite similar to the ones in Valley of Fire on the other side of the Virgin River Valley. With a lot less visitors. I like this composition and the light.

Thanks, Alan. I was lucky to have so much reflected light here as the sun has no way other way of getting into this area.

Such a cool image! It definitely has a familiar Valley of Fire feel. I am betting both areas were forged and formed in similar manners.

I am definitely heading there sometime in the next couple of months. I tried to fit it into my plans for this week, but it was showing rain, and I don't like hiking in the desert in the rain.

Jim, Gold Buttes has been on my to-go list for a few years, I am looking at the route to get there, it seems in part of the area, a high clearence 4x4 is needed; that's what stopped me.
