Red and Blue in Death Valley

That last image is unique for the three different sets of textures on each of the surfaces in the foreground. Nicely seen. Quite the sunrise at the crater.

Two fine images, indeed! Wowser sunrise, and I really dig the subdued light on the layers of textures and tone in the 2nd.

Really nice images Tim. I love the one of Ubehebe that includes much more than just the crater. Last one is layered nicely with some twinkle for icing.

Hey Tim,

Very cool work here. I think #1 with the Ubehebe crater, this could be one of the best I have seen from there. I have shot around that crater, it's not an easy place to make a meaningful image, but you did it here! And great work with #2, I sure like the layers of textures.

Really Lovely images. Good balance of extreme dynamic range in the first with wonderful light. Congrats!

Thanks for the comments all! The holly was my first stop of the morning. I went searching for more interesting compositions, but the creosote and pumice weren't nearly as good.

The detail of that sunrise is unreal, almost look crunchy :) I am drown more to the second, like Alan said, the three different textures in the soil are striking, unique, and well captured.
