This is a blue light view of the Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park. Placing the waterline in this composition in the upper third of the scene was entirely intentional and the shot was not taken with this contest in mind. When I work a scene I often try to cover something like this as both an upper third and lower third in the shots I will take. In this case I prefer the expanse of water over an expanse of skies.
