Rainier Sunset

From earlier in spring, although it has the winter look to it. The clouds were very promising but the high clouds started to disappear and the low ones descended over the mountain. The snow did provide a good foreground however.

Comments welcome as always.

I like this view of Rainier - where did you take this from? I am used to always being on the south side of the mountain so this orientation is unique for me. The little low cloud layer adds some nice depth to the scene.

I was wondering what lake too, Tipsoo makes sense. You got some nice light around the mountain, and that reflection is sure nice.

I quite like this - I've shot from here many times, but never got a shot like this where the clouds catch the sunset light while the mountain is already in shade. I think it makes a great accent that draws your eye and contrasts nicely with the cool blue of the snow and lake.

BTW, many people call this "Upper Tipsoo" (no name on Google Maps) - it's across the street from the larger lake to the south.
