Provo Temple

I am not a member, but the Mormons do build beautiful Temples. This is an old one that was recently rebuilt in the original style. I do wish I would have had my old 24TSE lens to avoid the lean and branches. But the light was perfect last evening.

CC most welcome. I will return with suggestions.

Hey Ben,

Those temples do have interesting architecture. This is captured nicely, and it's great to see more Cityscapes being posted. I would use the Warp tool to help straighten out the sides of the temple and for example to pull that leaning lamppost on the right side.

Ok, here is one I warped and also cloned out most of the branch (don't look too close). Next time I will get closer and use my 11-24 leveled. Then crop like extraneous stuff.

The edit worked out quite well. The warp is believable and you have to know where to look for traces of that branch. I don't believe I have ever seen this temple up close before.

I agree that the architecture of the temples is very nice and that's true for every one of them I have seen. They typically have some stunning lighting on them for night shots as well. I have never seen two of them with the same architecture so they are all quite unique and typically have the best viewpoint of every valley I have seen them in - which also means you can see them from anywhere in the valley.

THanks Alan. Yes they do have great locations. This is actually the original Provo Temple, there is a second newer one.

My wife waited in the car while I got this, we were parked in front of a fairly good mexican restaurant which was the enticement for her.
