Interesting camera gear move. Looks like a good camera for B&W work like this.
Anything in particular about the Sigma that prompted the swap? A lot of reviews of that camera hated the camera but loved the foveon sensors.

… Alan: A good and fair question. The Foveon sensor is in a class of it’s own. In the right hands, nothing comes close to it’s images. But, it is a steep, and long, learning curve. Even to learn the models is far too complicated. So, any reviewers that just pick one up have no clue. After quite a bit of time with different models, I prefer an earlier one, than the later Merrill model. But, the Merrill, in better hands, can be magnificient as well.

I think it's fun and normal to see a title and then get a picture in our mind of what the image will look like. Well, this image of yours exceeded what I was thinking in my head by a hundredfold. What an awesome image! A fantastic composition with that angle and tight shot.
And I like your move, as a long time Nikon user who has a D200 still, I am biased of course, but I like your move.

… Appreciate that Jim. First day out shooting with the new set-up, thought to get the mail first, and the light on the box just attracted my eye. A good sign! Love the vintage Nikon CCD bodies. Chose the D200 for the bigger and better viewfinder for manually focusing the lens, and for the metering. A delight to have one again!
