Big splash and Little splash!

Down at Little Corona Beach in California on Friday. I did capture this with both the iphone and my Nikon D850, but since I am back home in California for a bit, I processed the D850 image. While I have been enjoying testing out my new iPhone 15 Pro Max, there is something even more enjoyable about the level of control we have when using our DLSR's or Mirrorless cameras. It was also nice to be able to process this on my computer as opposed to on the iPhone like I do with the iPhone images.

I shot both fast and slow shutter speeds, in this case, I really enjoy the amount of detail in all of the water droplets with the faster shutter speed.

I always find I appreciate my DSLR more after I spend time shooting with just my iPhone - it's hard to overlook the level of control we have with Real Cameras(TM).

Nice image, Jim. I agree that the results from processing DSLR images with all of the technology we have today is amazing.
