Pollinating the Cone

I got some really nice afternoon light filtering through one of our cedar trees yesterday afternoon that did a great job of isolating some cone flower blooms. I noticed some bees checking out the plants and managed to catch one on a sunlit bloom.

nice light. the bee's fuzz mimics the flower's texture pretty well.
Thanks Beth - I think the fuzzy little bee is a chimney bee (Diadasia enavata). It was an unusual twist to the more common honey bees and bumble bees I often see.
