Gorgeous images Alan. I was staying in Vancouver last Sunday-Tuesday to be near my daughter who was in a Portland hospital. This is truly a beautiful city.

Thanks Ben - Vancouver is at its best in the late spring and early summer when the blooms are abundant.

Nice set of Rhodies. They look fresh and crisp.
Thanks Jameel - I grabbed these shots while the rhodies were in full bloom a couple of weeks ago. Most of them aren't quite looking as nice at this point.

It's so weird to have so many different colors of Rhodies. I am used to just seeing them 1 color in the wild, so these colors are a bit to take in for me. Good job on the captures.

Thanks Jim. We have an amazing array of colors and plant sizes in my area but its just the tip of the iceberg - there are over a thousand variants of rhododendrons scattered around the planet.

A couple of weeks ago there were rhodies blooming all over the neighborhoods around where I live.

Love the variety of the rhodies. Not just the colors, as you've shown here, but how they vary from dwarf/ground cover (almost, anyway) to trees. I remember wandering around the Weyerhaeuser Rhodie Garden some years ago & being blown away by them.

Thanks Monika - We have everything from the low shrubs to the tall trees scattered around the neighborhoods within a couple of miles from my house and its a riot of colors and shapes in late spring. They do stagger their blooms a bit from each other which helps stretch out the blooming season.
