Playing in the Garden

A quickie from our backyard with a daffodil. Shot with a Canon 5D MkII body converted to 590nm and the image converted to 720nm w/channel swap using a Kolarivision PS action.

I still have a looooong way to go in learning to play with this as my converted camera body was just delivered a couple of hours ago.

I did my edits using Lightroom with a custom camera profile to covert from RAW and Topaz Denoise AI/Sharpen AI/Topaz Studio in Photoshop.

C&C more than welcome.

This looks really great Alan! Love the look of this.
So you can take a 590nm and make it look like a 720nm? I didn’t know that.

Nice. And congrats on the new toy. In hindsight I should have gone for an SLR conversion rather than the P&S I did.
Thanks Jameel - I had an old P&S that I was once going to convert but the notion that I could use all of my EF series lenses pushed that thought aside. I am guessing that I will need to make some adjustments in how I use each of my lenses with this body but I happen to be fond of puzzles anyway. The downside to the 5d2 is the inability to use higher ISO settings for low light conditions without unusable noise levels.

Stunning Image Alan, Love the crisp white of the flower with the beautiful sharp details.

Welcome to IR, You're Hooked Now ;-)
