I processed this image in DXO Photolab 9 using theirr trial version. A little complex menu setup for a long time Photoshop user, but the results look interesting. I plan to test this software for the 30 day trial period and see if it is something I might purchase. Image taken with a Fujifilm GFX 50 SII and the 35-70 mm kit lens.

Photolabs is not bad at all, and I would say for new photographer it would be a great program to start with. The biggest issue I have with it is you can't push the shadow or highlight sliders to 100% without getting horrible halos and a kind of weird tonal cast. Where in Photoshop you can push them quite off to 100% with no negative effects.

A great looking photo Larry.

Nice shot and colors. I typically use DxO PureRAW 5 for most of my images but do own/occasionally use PhotoLab 8. I mostly use PhotoLab 8 for scenes with an abnormal amount of dynamic range using the spot targets tool to even up the lighting.

Nice scene and well processed. Would be interesting to see a side by side comparison between the Photoshop version and this

I am on the low end of the learning curve for PhotoLab 9. Hope I can get enough work with it in 30 days to make a proper choice regarding the benefits of purchasing the software.

After I get more proficient at using PhotoLab 9 and do decide to purchase the program I will do some comparison between it and Photoshop.

For the record while I do use PhotoLab 8 I actually use it as a preparation step and then export the image back into Adobe Lightroom for further processing and finish things in Photoshop. I don't really consider it a full blown replacement for Photoshop at all.

Hi Alan thanks for your clarification, what I have found so far is that PhotoLab 9 might be a replacement for Camera Raw Filter. Too soon to say just yet, but it looks promising. :)
