Pileated Woody and a Red-breasted Sapsucker

Again, Titlow Park in Tacoma did not let us down. Got a chance to observe this Pileated Woodpecker doing some thorough preening. The Sapsuckers were flitting around from tree to tree. I don't see these guys very often and to capture 2 was a treat!

Wow - some amazing shots of these creatures. I am especially jealous of your pileated woodpecker shots - I only rarely catch a glimpse of those birds. Can't say I have seen the sapsuckers around much around my area either.
