Perennial Cornflower

This plant justt popped up in a flower bed next to our house a couple a years ago. I did not know what it was at the time (I thought some wild weed), but I thought it made a nice photograph and gtabbed a few shots. This image showed the plant details pretty well.

Very cool bloom. I think I have heard it called bachelor button too.

I'm glad I did not pull that 'weed' because of the nice photo and, more importantly, because Kathleen really liked the flower!
