Oh man.... I am slightly disappointed Alan... I was expecting to see your toes painted! :)

But, I am not disappointed with the photo. That's an area that I really need to get to one of these days. Is this spring time?

Thanks Jim - sorry to disappoint on my toes but I think these look nicer anyway. This shot came from a visit in early May. This is on the dry side of the Cascades so most of the year there is no green in the views besides some farm fields think less of flowers like these.

Nice view of the 'toes'. I find such tight compositions more interesting than the wider views unless there is an interesting sky to go with it.

Thanks Jameel - I almost always go for the big view the first time I visit a place like this but my attention span for the "classic" view is quite short when it comes to more and more repeat visits. Especially true for this place where a wide angle lens covers everything in a couple of minutes.

This is a lovely image, Alan. I love the pastel tones. The only nit I have is that that small bare patch near the left bottom of the image tends to draw my eye out of this fantastic image. What do you think?
