Painted Hills in the Spring

In honor of everyone getting psyched up for fall I decided it must be time for - flowers in the Spring ;)

These are from a springtime visit to the Painted Hills in Oregon. First up a 400mm peek.

This one is not the usual view of the hills but one that did capture the mood of the lighting when I was there.

Interesting. Is the first pick some sort of red flowers creating a blanket, or is that the soil? I too can't wait for spring season. I didn't go out much this past spring, and regret it.

Ryan - probably the best way to put context on the first one is with another image. The flower image is an extreme closeup of part of the red soil bands along the painted hillside.

This last image is not a springtime shot.

Delightful works, Alan! I really like the yellow flowers in the scene in the first. Lovely contrasts.
That's a spot on my list, but I haven't made it there, yet!

Hey Alan

Way to throw us for a loop! :)

I like these. I definitely need to get to the Painted Hills. Especially after getting to the Badlands in South Dakota finally last year, I would like to get to what to me is like a brother to the SD Badlands, and that's the Painted Hills in Oregon.
