Thanks Jameel - I might have shot a panorama sequence there in the past (film days) but didn't do that on this trip. My wife and I used to go down to that park every spring back in the 1980's but I hadn't visited Capitol Reef for a couple of decades when I stopped in right after I retired.

Very nice picture, Alan. Accurate to "width" in one shot. Again, the strong orange-red color of the earth and the mountain range with green in the foreground.. and the beautiful blue sky, hmm, these colors are fascinating, beautifully processed with excellent contrast!

Thank you Peter - Southern Utah provides some gorgeous scenery and color contrasts which is why so many photographers make pilgrimages to that area. Self included

Nice shot Alan, am I right that the tree is gone now? I'd always stop at that spot and shoot before I left, but when I was out there a few years ago I think I remember something happened to that little guy. Or I could be totally wrong ; D

Thanks Jordan - I took this shot in 2015 so there is every possibility that some moron decided it would make nice firewood in the years since. After a Boy Scout troop leader pushed over one of the hoodoos in Goblin Valley I have decided just about anything is possible anymore.
