On the Hunt

This is a small finger off the Myakka River in Florida. Word was alligators like to hang out in this shallow merky waters. I ran into a park ranger here and she said that there were quite a few about a mile up stream. But as you can see by the under growth in this image that going much farther was a problem without knowing the way.

Good question, hadn't thought about that. I was more concerned with snakes than gators.

I really like the diffuse and almost ethereal look to this picture Amy! Really cool. Was that a post processing effect or just the nature of the nature so to speak?!
