Oh Deer

Driving down a side road, this fawn tan across the road a distance ahead of me. When I got to that point, this is what I found.. Don't know if it stumbled and fell or if it was trying to hide.

Thanks Alan, It stayed in that position for about 5 minutes and then got up and ran away.

I lean toward it having stumbled over the rock and then maybe thought it was hiding. Two of us were quite close to it, seeing if it was ok and deciding if we should call wildlife management, but it suddenly got up and ran away.
