Not a Pretty Picture.....

I've mentioned the heavy hazy/smoky atmosphere I experienced on my trip in the upper Owen's Valley. Here's what I saw, on the 15th, the worst day of it, while I was out there anyway.
Three shots pano, from Hwy 6, @ 13 miles north from Laws, looking out over the tablelands and Hammil Valley, Round Valley toward the Buttermilks and Wheeler Ridge and beyond.
Thought I needed to document some of the worst looking air I've seen, not in LA.

You are correct about this not being a pretty sight - especially when you are auto touring looking for vistas to photograph.

You might not believe this but for some of us in the west there have been far worse skies than what you show here this year - visibility in the Portland area in September while the Eagle Creek was burning was less than 1/4 mile and Jeffrey's image of Santa Barbara recently was even worse.
