The snow wasn't perfect, but it was good to get out for my first day of back-country skiing this year up at Stevens Pass WA.

This is so cool! That snow looks great! Did anyone jump off from that point in #1?

Jim, no jumpers yesterday, and I don't know if even my crazy jumping friends have hucked this one since there isn't a slope above it to get any speed up to clear the edge plus the boulder field below would have to be filled in much better than current conditions. The snow was beautiful to look at, and fun to ski in places, but there is a lumpy rain crust under the newer snow that our skis were bumping over on steeper slopes - fairly typical western Washington conditions.
