Neolithic stone circle

This is Castlerigg stone circle around 4,500yrs old. On Sunday this area was filled with swirling mist with a blood red sunrise but on today's visit just a touch of mist and almost no light never mind drama. I have added a typical Lakeland scene with the farmer driving the sheep into a fresh field. Twenty years ago it would have been one man and two border collies now it is a woman on a quad bike. Beautiful landscape scene in both of these images. A shot of the sunrise you described would make an incredible shot of the stone circle although this shot is a good one anyway. I like the closer in view of the valley behind the scene with the low mist. Neat looking place.

So cool Ken! Love the stone circle of Castlerigg. Is there a fence around it like Stonehenge?

It sure is interesting how times have changed. We see that here where cattle ranchers don't always use Cowboys on Horses to move cows. But, I still see a lot of Cowboys on horses among cows and cow drives, and everytime I do (Cow drives are something I don't regularly see) it's a cool feeling.
